What experience brought you to yoga? Tell us about your Yoga Journey

Yoga practice is a lifestyle change for me. I started as an employee in a yoga school (Urban Ashram Yoga) last 2013 and at first I didn’t have any idea about yoga until my first yoga teacher inspired me that practice is about me. It’s not about looking at my classmates and comparing my practice with them. Yoga taught me a lot on and off the mat. I became more confident with myself by being the true me, without letting others judge me and without comparing myself to others. It helped me become the unique version of myself.

Yoga is not just a physical practice , it’s a practice of being connected with our mind, body and soul and it’s a lifestyle that will teach us to manage our lives on and off the mat and practicing yoga is a good way to share what we learn and the poses we do will help us heal our mind, body and soul by embracing the good changes that comes in our lives and staying with a positive attitude.

My journey inspired a lot to continue what I am doing and to love and appreciate every single moment in my life.

Narrate an experience as a student of yoga that has changed you.

As a student, yoga is a practice that I always want to do to keep myself focus and aware also. It will also teach you to challenge yourself and change your perspective in a good way. And as a yoga student, teachers might have different style.of teaching and philosophy in life, but at the end of the day, what they want is really for us to learn how to take care of ourselves no matter what we are doing in life. Yoga is a great reminder that life is so beautiful, all we need is to learn to accept, acknowledge and embrace the changes that will come our way.
